Move Out and Level-Up

When it's time to pack your little bag of stuff and start taking a walk out of a situation or a place, you probably are in denial about it, but it won’t change the fact that you still need to move into the next phase of your life at some point. Lately, I've been really struggling to understand why I have been feeling this urge to move and venture into something different. I've been thinking about this a lot and thought I would share some revelations with you. Here are some tell-all signs that it might be time to make a move out of that comfort zone.

Signs it’s Time to Move Out and Level-Up.

1. Snappy and Drained


So without getting into details, I have been highly irritable and super short-tempered in all areas of my life, but it all seems to be seeming from one particular situation. I remembered a couple of days ago that I literally had to hold myself from snapping at someone because of a comment they made in passing. Now hear me out; this particular situation wouldn't have bothered me two months ago, but that day guys... I legit could feel the flames of rag in my chwess. It took all of my energy to tell myself to have a walk and take a couple of chill pills #trymenot #nottodaydevil. When I got home, I pulled out my journal to have a mini-rant about the situation and realized so many things about the situation at hand.

One of these things is that when it's time to move out of a place and level up, the little things shouldn't irritate you and get under my skin DO. Also, things that are used to make you happy start draining all your energy out of your being.

2. Lack of motivation, AKA "I just can't be bothered."

I promised myself that this post would be short, and I realize I have gone on and on for too long at the first point, so I will make it brief from this point. If you find yourself failing to stay motivated to do a task, you know you are good at or even find yourself saying things like, "I just can't be bothered to be honest."You, my friend, might be in dire need of a little life makeover. That's all I'm saying.

3. That GUTT though

YOU'LL that gut feeling you sometimes have that tells you when something is wrong is the same feeling that will give you hints when it's time to chuck the dice and keep it moving. The thing is, it's different for everyone, and you can run from it and let it catch up with you at some point in the future. Or you can follow your gut and take that leap of faith.

Now it wouldn't be right for me to end this post without giving you some tips on what I've been doing in this season.

The first thing I would do is prayer (or meditation). Pray specifically for wisdom, guidance and discernment. This actually reminds me of this song we used to sing in Sunday school back in Zimbabwe that says," Read your Bible, pray every day and you'll grow, grow, grow..." So pray, wait for an answer and read your Bible as well. You might find some insight from there.

The second thing is to step into it with faith. Like actually make intensional steps of faith #makemoves. According to Hebrews 11:1-3, faith is defined as "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it, the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." I can honestly do a whole post dedicated got faith at some point, actually, but you need to have faith even if it's as small as a mustard seed.

The last thing is to try something else new. Remember, faith without works is in vain. Go on an adventure that makes you step out of your comfort zone. Try something different and challenge yourself.

I feel like it’s time for us to #levelup and leave that place of comfort we are in. We need to stop staying in unhealthy places because we are comfortable there or are too scared of the unknown. Venture out; the worst thing that can happen is that you will fail (but you can learn something from the failure). I hope this helps you if you are in a place like this as well.
