Let's Talk: History of Racism, George Floyd and Racial Injustice | Part 1

Hello Lovely. I hope you are well in these uncertain times. The last week has been tough for a lot of black folk around the world, and we really wanted to have a conversation about Race relations in a way that added value to the narrative. So we asked Charmaine Magumbe to come and have a chat with us about the topic and answer some questions people had. The theme for this week's video is Race in communities. The first part is about looking at history and how it leads us to where we are now. It addresses the growing concerns we have about Racism and Injustice in our communities. Part 2, we answered questions that people had in the best way possible. We spoke about allyship and what we could be doing to stop things like these from repeating. Welcome to our segment on this platform called " Let's Talk...). A place where we bring hot topics, trends and taboo conversations and discuss them with a large group of people with the hope that through their experiences, we all learn something new and become more empathetic to people's experiences. These will be held every Monday on @FadzoProductions Instagram page and highlights posted on the @msFadzo Instagram page. *********** Disclaimer:I am in no way claiming to know everything about this topic, and I will be sharing things based on my opinion and my experience. 12 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS I LEARNT IN MY FIRST YEAR AT TRENT UNIVERSITY | International Student

My first year of university was such a fantastic experience, and in case you are looking at universities or are about to start, I wanted to give you some advice. These are some of the things I learnt and some things I wish I had known before going into uni. So I briefly talk about my application process to Trent University, O-week as an international student, friendships, finding balance and a lot of Trent Specific advice. For some background information, I am a 5th year (yes 5th) Business Administration major with specializations in Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Consumer Culture. Long story short, I used to be a Psychology and Sociology major and then switched my degree in 3rd year. I am incredibly involved in clubs and groups at my uni and have a company called UMHAMBO that specializes in African clothing and accessories. I am an international student and travel a lot. Send me questions if you have any, and I will get back to you in the comments section. *********** Disclaimer: I am in no way claiming to know everything about this Trent University, and I will be sharing things based on my opinion and my experience. I cannot give immigration advice and cannot share people's personal information without consent so if you have a question shoot me a DM and I can refer you to people who can. Or you could hit Google up for more information about specifics. Please be respectful in your interactions. ************** THANK YOU FOR WATCHING.
